Directs and manages the care of designated operative patients and performs an ongoing patient assessment, creates and maintains a safe environment, and implements and enforces all policies and procedures. Handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Develops a plan of perioperative nursing care based on patient assessment including physical, psychosocial, cultural, growth, and development dimensions.

Shift: Days 7:00am to 7:30pm
Guaranteed hours: 36
Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay rate: $2,640 Weekly Gross ($40/hr on W2 with $1,200 stipend)
Certifications - Required
- AHA BLS - Basic Life Support Certificate
- NIHSS Certificate
Education - Required
- Graduate of accredited Nursing program
Licenses - Required
- Registered Nurse State of Pennsylvania
Experience - Required
- 2years Acute Care Experience and/or experience congruent with role in service line
50 miles radius RULE
*REQUIRED: PROOF of COVID & FLU vaccination MUST be provided.
*LVHN requires a full Hep B series (3 doses) or positive Hep B antibodydocumentation**
REQUIRED - Must be able to scrub and circulate.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Required
- Successful completion of Registered Nurse orientation.
- Minimum ability to circulate surgical procedures.
- Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care.
- Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty.
- Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies.
- Basic computer skills.
