ABOUT THE ROLE
This prestigious woman-owned luxury brand is seeking talented and passionate individuals with exceptional service and sales acumen. The ideal candidate is a naturally charismatic individual who is a superstar when it comes to cultivating long-lasting customer relationships. As a Luxury Retail Sales Associate, you will take a consultative approach towards customers by providing style suggestions and fine jewelry education. You will be responsible for guiding a customer through the entire cycle of the customer journey while adhering to the brand’s values. In a collaborative and modern office setting, you will work alongside our founder and designer, as well as your fellow Sales Associates. As part of the Carats & Stones team, you will have the opportunity to make a clear impact on the company's growth and culture.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work to create an inviting, personalized, and fun environment for the discerning client
- Develop a deep understanding of the merchandise, service offerings, and the brand
- Provide advice and relevant recommendations based on client needs and requests
- Effectively utilize available clientele tools and resources to increase personal business and process sales when closing
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with all clients in face-to-face interactions, as well as phone and email communication
- Contribute to opening and closing procedures to maintain high visual standards
- Actively maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and merchandise presentation
- Ensure the communication and participation of all the brand’s service offerings, including financing, layaways, warranties, and jewelry inspections
- Assist with front and back of house operations, understanding the basic functionality and organization processes in the showroom, customer service, and operations departments
- Partner with bench jewelers in jewelry cleaning, inspections and repair intakes of customers
- Adhere to and implement security policies and procedures regarding high value merchandise, including accurate inventory checks
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 1-2 year of Retail Sales or high-level customer service experience, preferably in a Luxury Retail environment. No prior experience in fine jewelry needed, but preferred
- A dedicated desire to engage with people, resolve customer problems, and create lasting positive experiences with each customer interaction
- A passion for building clientele and demonstrated strong sales skills through client follow up, retention and utilization of selling tools
- Effective professional verbal and written communication skills a must
- Strong computer and system skills– comfortable learning new technology and processes
- A dynamic team player with strong interpersonal skills is a must
- Great ability to provide and receive feedback from colleagues, supervisors, and customers and adapt behavior with coaching
- Organizational excellence and strong attention to details with accuracy
- Must be available to work Saturdays (We are closed Holidays!)
- Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting
- A high degree of business acumen, polished demeanor and the ability to establish trust
- GE High School Diploma (required), Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferred)
- Social media experience (preferred)
