About the role:
At Boston Scientific, our products and technologies diagnose and/or treat a wide range of medical conditions. In Cardiac Rhythm Management & Diagnostics (CRM/Dx), we offer a suite of both external and implantable cardiac diagnostic monitoring solutions used detect irregular heart rhythms, enabling clinicians to provide the best care for each patient's condition. In addition, we offer cardiac therapy devices for treating irregular heart rhythms, heart failure and protecting against sudden cardiac arrest.
In this role, you will assist with the growth of our Diagnostics business through the sale of the LUX-Dx Insertable Cardiac Monitoring System within a defined geographic territory by developing new business and expanding usage of company products by current accounts to meet a sales quota based on company sales goals and to increase sales revenue of the company directly. We seek candidates who will exceed our customer expectations by striving without reserve for the greatest possible reliability and quality in our products, processes, and systems, all while ensuring our patients are best served.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • To grow Boston Scientific Cardiac Diagnostics business through sales of the LUX-Dx ICM System to Electrophysiologists, Implanting Cardiologists, General Cardiologists, and Heart Failure Physicians.
  • Focus on market and protocol development to referring physicians with a primary focus on disease states such as cryptogenic stroke, syncope, and atrial fibrillation
  • Conduct sales calls to promote and sell Boston Scientific Diagnostic products and services to existing and competitive customers, including efforts to grow the diagnostics portfolio, including Preventice Solutions and BodyGuardian.
  • Partner with the CRDM and CVG sales teams to fully support and execute the Diagnostics launch and sales strategy to fully leverage our diagnostics and monitoring capabilities.
  • Call on referral physicians to include Neurologists, Cardiologists, and Primary Care physicians to promote our Diagnostics Tools and expand access to appropriate patients who could benefit.
  • Effectively utilize sales collateral, educational programs, and other marketing tools to best educate our physicians on the benefits of the LUX portfolio.
  • Maintain high-level knowledge of our diverse CRDM and CVG portfolio.
  • Advise customers continuously regarding our products' performance and communicate relevant clinical information.

What we're looking for in you:
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience in selling/account management/territory management
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience of medical sales experience in a hospital environment selling & servicing diagnostic and/or monitoring devices to interventional cardiologists/electrophysiologists/cardiothoracic surgeons/heart failure physicians.
  • Experience in cardiac rhythm identification, EKG interpretation, and being able to articulate analysis to cardiac physicians as well as supporting staff
  • Ability to teach and educate medical personnel, peers, and technical support personnel
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including some overnight travel and nights/weekends (approx.. 30%)
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous Boston Scientific Cardiology experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math field
  • Cardiac device sales experience
  • Prior experience working with cardiologists, heart failure physicians, and/or stroke neurologists

Anticipated annualized base salary for this full-time position is $60,000, plus variable compensation governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
