Position: Lunch/Recess/PE Part-Time Teacher

Reports to: School President

Work location: The Bilgrav School (www.bilgravschool.org)

Salary: Depending on experience & certifications $80 to $100 per day

School hours: 11:30am to 3:30pm

Ability to commute: The Bilgrav School 307 Evernia Street, 2nd Floor, West Palm Beach, FL 33401

Responsibilities:

Looking to make a difference in a child's life? The Bilgrav School (non-profit school, grade 1-8 for dyslexic students) is actively seeking a passionate and patient lunch, recess and PE teacher to work with elementary students who need coaching, mentoring and supervision during their playtime. Candidates with experience with teaching dyslexic learners preferred.

Experience/Qualifications:

-Love for children and passion for teaching & tutoring.

- Empowering and coaching or mentoring mentality.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

- Experience using computers and other technology.

- A passion for helping and motivating children to reach their potential.

- Must be patient, positive and a humble guide.

- Ability to work with youth and families from a variety of backgrounds.

-Ability to work independently.

-Ability to work flexible hours.

-Bachelor's degree in education preferred, but not required.

-Experience working with children preferred.

-Coordination and administrative skills preferred.

-Knowledge and training with Orton-Gillingham methodology preferred.
