We are seeking an experienced Oyster Shucker to join our team. As an Oyster Shucker, you will be responsible for preparing and shucking oysters in a fast-paced restaurant environment. If you have a passion for seafood and enjoy working in a culinary setting, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Shuck oysters efficiently and safely, following proper techniques
- Prepare oysters for various dishes, such as raw oysters on the half shell or Seafood Tower
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of shucked oysters
- Assist with meal preparation and other kitchen tasks as needed
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely service and high-quality food
- Communicate effectively with other staff members to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Oyster Shucker or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of seafood preparation and cooking techniques
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for shucking oysters
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
