- Ability to interact with customers to fulfill orders
7am-430pm
Lumber Yard Associates are responsible for providing legendary service by safely and efficiently loading customer vehicles with building materials. The Lumber Yard Associate is also responsible for keeping the yards clean and stocking inventory.
Safely, accurately and efficiently load customer vehicles with orders of building materials
Ensure that appropriate paperwork is completed as per company policy
Receive delivered inventory by properly inspecting paperwork for accuracy and by depositing inventory in designated locations
Inspects stock and returned items to ensure salable quality
Puts stock away in correct location and nicely
Provides required paperwork for change orders
Completes inventory adjustments
Participates with inventory preparation and post procedures
Reads and follows instructions on pick tickets
Opens and closes warehouse and yard when necessary
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Qualifications Include:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• OSHA Certified Forklift License preferred
• Knowledge of receiving/inventory control principles, practices and protocols.
• Knowledge of dimension lumber, panel products and other building materials.
• Ability to read and interpret “picking tickets” and invoices.
• Ability to concentrate and attend to detail amidst a busy work environment.
• Acceptable driving record preferred
