Lumber Yard Attendant

Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team at Spaeth Lumber Corvallis as a Lumber Yard Laborer & Attendant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks including building orders, stocking products, operating forklifts, assisting customers with loading, and maintaining cleanliness within the Lumber Yard.

Responsibilities:

1. Building Orders: Accurately assemble lumber orders according to customer specifications, ensuring completeness and correctness of items.

2. Stocking Product: Receive, organize, and stock incoming lumber and building materials in designated areas within the yard.

3. Operating Forklifts: Safely operate forklifts and other equipment to move and transport materials throughout the Lumber Yard.

4. Loading Customers: Assist customers in loading purchased materials onto their vehicles while adhering to safety protocols.

5. Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness and organization within the Lumber Yard, including sweeping, disposing of debris, and ensuring aisles are clear and accessible.

6. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, coworkers, and customers.

7. Other task as needed by management.

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a manual labor or Lumber Yard preferred.

- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in outdoor conditions.

- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other equipment is desirable.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with coworkers and customers.

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
