SalaryDuties/Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift in a safe manner to unload material from trucks.
-Maintains yard area clean and orderly; to easily locate and account the various materials in the yard.
-Will have communication with the production team to stage material required for production.
-Manage all inbound and outbound paperwork, accountability and math skills required.
-Adheres to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
-Notifies management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions and /or personal injuries.
-Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
Required skills /Abilities:
-Must be bilingual with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must have experience/knowledge of wood terminology.
-Ability to follow directions and work well in a team environment.
-Ability to interpret and translate documentation.
-Understanding of the and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
-Minimum of 2 years verified experience in wood products.
-Minimum of two years forklift experience.
Education and experience:
-At least two years of related experience required.
-OSHA 10 certification (preferred).
-High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Physical requirements and work environment:
-Manufacturing work environment. Associate continually works near moving machinery and is regularly exposed to vibration and moderate to high noise levels.
-The working environment includes exposure to outdoor elements, congested, high traffic areas, slippery floors, stairs, and walkways. Majority of duties are performed outdoors and must be done in varying climates.
-Standing for extended periods of time, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting and walking.
-Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines and inspect products.
-Must lift up to 50 pounds.
-Ability to reach overhead.
-Select and place the product on the pallet.
