ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Stock and organize lumber materials
- Assess quality of materials in racks and separate low-quality pieces so that material in racks is high quality
- Proactively approach customers in yard, walk them where to go, answer with a friendly manner simple questions about sizes, show material that is in rack, and competently write up claim tickets
- Build positive working relationships with the Store Manager and team of Lumberyard Representatives
- Learn J & W culture of how to greet customers and provide superior customer service
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
YOU ARE A PHYSICALLY ABLE to use your hands/body to perform general labor. You are able to handle and control machines, tools and products. You are also intentional and use proven procedures safely to fulfill client orders.
YOU ARE DEPENDABLE AND RESPONSIBLE with a high degree of accountability and follow through. If you don’t know the answer to a question, you admit it and go and find the answer. You enjoy proactively solving problems and do what is necessary with very little oversight.
YOU ARE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL and are not afraid to approach customers and ask the right questions to help them uncover their needs. You are a team player with a strong desire to keep the yard clean and organized, staying flexible to be a team player.
Experience in warehouse labor, construction, or general labor preferred.
BENEFITS:
Starting Wages for General Laborers $18.00 per hour, DOE and Completing 1st 90-day Milestones, Health Benefits Package, 401k with matching and PTO.
