Lumber Yard Manager

The Lumber Yard Manager is a full-time, Exempt position. This position will perform duties associated with our Lumber Yard within the facility in accordance with safety policies and procedures. This position will be responsible for servicing our customers, delivery, and loading/unloading trucks with a forklift.

Salary: Starting at $50,000

Lumber Yard Manager:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Shipping and receiving skills.
• Organizational and math skills.
• Assisting customers with product purchase and loading.
• Maintains an accurate running inventory.
• Restocks supplies and inventory; informs supervisor of needs.
• Enters purchase order data in the inventory control system.
• Accepts, verifies, inspects, and records all deliveries according to policy.
• Record, report, and return defective items.
• Processes invoices, supplying necessary data to accounting or other appropriate department for payment and recordkeeping.
• Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse area.
• Handles complaints related to shipments; notifies supervisor of any shipping or receiving issues.
• Comply with government regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Safety:

• Uses personal protective equipment.
• Observe all OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Maintain clean and orderly facilities.
• Maintain equipment and facilities regularly and timely.
• Maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of lumber and building materials helpful.
• Must have an acceptable driving record and be insurable to drive.
• Understand the importance of providing first-class customer service.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
