Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Operate motorized equipment to move tankers/trailers; fuel equipment as needed.
• Perform daily maintenance checks and report any malfunctions to the garage.
• Couple / uncouple tractor-trailer units; connect/disconnect brake lines safely.
• Shuttle tankers/trailers from staging areas to various loading areas (dock, door, platform).
• Anticipate trailer needs and move tankers/trailers according to business needs.
• Perform required trailer inventories and temperature checks, and report any discrepancies.
• Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Follow all safety and security policies and procedures,
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Follow all food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent, regulatory,
customer and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.
• Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
• Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
• Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data.
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required.
• Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Must be organized and detail-oriented.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Ability to communicate in English is required; however, bilingual skills may be preferred based on business
necessity.
Certification/Licenses/Registrations:
• Valid driver’s license, is required.
Physical Demand/Working Conditions and Experience:
• Must be able to work in hot and cold climates, both indoors and outdoors.
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend.
• Must be able to occasionally lift over 50 pounds; and push/pull 240 pounds
