Job Description
We are a fast-growing and dynamic automotive repair facility looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Automotive Service Writer to join our team. As an Automotive Service Writer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive the best possible experience, from the initial contact to the final bill.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and listen to their concerns and needs regarding their vehicles
- Communicate with technicians to diagnose problems and provide detailed and accurate service information
- Prepare and present accurate repair cost estimates to customers
- Explain the repair process and answer any questions customers may have
- Schedule appointments and coordinate repairs with the service department
- Follow up with customers to ensure complete satisfaction with their service experience
- Continuously update customer information and vehicle history records in our computer system
- Handle customer complaints in a professional and empathetic manner
- Continuously monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies and equipment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as an Automotive Service Writer or similar customer service role
- Strong understanding of automotive repair and maintenance services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Strong computer skills, including experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work in a team environment and build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
