Job Title: Caregiver
Duties:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and social outings
- Monitor and report changes in client's health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Follow resident rights policies and procedures
- Implement behavior management strategies as directed by supervisors
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or elderly population preferred
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR techniques
- Ability to lift and transfer clients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for transportation of clients (if required)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
