Wound Care Nurse Position Summary

The Wound Care Nurse focuses on prevention and healing of pressure ulcers. Their role also includes the following responsibilities:

• Focuses on the community’s Wound Care program, working with the Wound Care physician.
• Oversee resident care related to the prevention and healing of pressure ulcers.
• Provide continuing education of Wound Care to our staff and families.
• Participate in QAPI and execute Wound Care assessments.
• Perform any other additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.

Wound Care Nurse Requirements

• Active LPN or RN license in the applicable state
• 3 years nursing experience
• Completed Infection Control training.
