Departmental Overview

NRHS Imaging Services is a full-service Radiology department performing over 200,000 studies each year, including screening exams, diagnostic testing, and interventional procedures.  We operate at 2 hospital-based locations, 2 free-standing Emergency Departments/Outpatient Centers, and two additional outpatient specialty locations.  We serve four Emergency Departments, a wide variety of Inpatient units, and hundreds of outpatients throughout the day.  This is an especially exciting time for our department as we move toward the unification of our primary care hospitals with a new and improved department and brand new state-of-the-art equipment for all modalities.  We are looking for motivated team members who want to be a part of a growing team with the opportunity to expand their horizons and knowledge base along the way.


Job Summary
  • Performing intake assessments on outpatients—including vital signs, history & physical, and treatment plan progress
  • Assists with minor procedures under the supervision of an RN, advanced practice provider, or physician
  • Answering incoming phone calls from patients and physician offices
  • Schedule surgeries and procedures for the VAC provider
  • Greet and check in patients through the front desk area
  • Check patients out as they leave
  • Verify physician orders
  • Support file room and registration process
  • Customer service, clerical, and coordination support for the Vascular Access Center
  • Schedule maintenance and workflow for the department
  • Communication and coordination services for patients and families

Qualifications

Education

  •  Completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse. 

Experience

  • Prefer previous hospital experience.
  • Previous work history reflecting stable employment is necessary. 
  • If no work experience, will consider school attendance record and performance.  

 

(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience)

 

Licensure/Certification

  • Current Oklahoma State LPN License or active Mulistate LPN License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. 
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) training for duration of employment.

Compensation/Benefits

  • $18.08-$29.53/hr based on previous background
