Job Summary:
The LPN HHA Educator is responsible for providing continuing education programs for our Home Health Aides as needed. This position is charged of implementing appropriate learning activities and evaluating the effectiveness of the staff learning. The Educator would be involved in partnering directly with the Patient Care Services Department to achieve their goals.

Some of the key responsibilities include:
*Responsibilities may include additional tasks according to the needs of the department and the organization*
- Conduct classroom lectures, practical demonstrations, and hands-on training sessions for HHA students.
- Provide guidance on proper patient care techniques, hygiene practices, and other relevant skills.
- Design and administer assessments to evaluate student comprehension and skill proficiency.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and implement strategies for improvement.
- Provide educational and development training services to enhance specialized patient care within established clinical protocols.
- Create an environment in classroom and Home Care settings that facilitates HHA learning and the achievement of desired cognitive, effective, and psycho motor outcomes.
- Prepare HHA to function effectively in the health care environment.
- Promote and utilize evidence-based practices in teaching modality and incorporate latest trends on infection control, tele-health, Value-Based Practices, and others.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience:
- License Practical Nurse- Required .
- Must possess current valid NYS LPN License
- 2 – 5 years’ experience working in a clinical setting.
- Previous experience in a teaching setting preferred.
