We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Low Voltage systems, including security systems, audio-visual equipment, and data cabling. Responsibilities
- Repairs broken or defective equipment found while surveying.
- Inspect, remove old PA systems and install or replace with temporary systems.
- Ensures that temporary PA systems interface with PBX prior to installation of new ones.
- Coordinates and install new PA systems.
- Programs new PA systems.
- Installs and programs temporary passing bells.
- Wires and tests the new PA systems.
- Interfaces the newly installed PA systems with the existing VOIP system.
- Clean ups and remove temporary PA systems.
- Remove and decommission the old PBX, PBX phones and old UPSs.
- Plans, analyzes and coordinates site equipment requirements.
- Coordinates with Project Managers in establishing project priority lists.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Low Voltage systems, including security systems, audio-visual equipment, and data cabling.
- Proficient in the use of relevant tools and equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Additional technical certifications are a plus.
The US base range for this contract position is $35-$43/hour. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
