Role Description: Low-Voltage Security Field Technician role offers the opportunity to work for a growing company alongside a master security systems technician. This role will allow you to build a diverse skillset and gain valuable experience in an evolving and in-demand industry through exposure to a variety of industry-leading technology.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support survey, installation and/or repair of surveillance and access control systems
- Diagnose electrical, networking, and hardware issues
- Mount and wire access control panels
- Mount, aim and configure surveillance cameras
- Install peripheral door components such as request-to-exit motion sensors, door contacts, readers, and locks
Basic Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude with basic hand and power tools
- Pass a comprehensive background check
- Prioritize quality of work over completing the task
- Be mature, reliable and professional
- Ability to report to job sites across the Washington D.C. metro area
- Hold US citizenship or permanent resident status
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in IP-based networking or low-voltage cabling
- Show interest in on-going professional development
- Have excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Exhibit good communication and people skills
