Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Lot Attendant to assist our field operations team at Semi-Stow: Superior Truck & Trailer Storage, a local truck parking facility. As a Lot Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of appearance at the entrance/exit of our facility and ensuring the security of the premises. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving and releasing loads, logging equipment in and out accurately and efficiently, and maintaining a safe and clean location. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who takes pride in their work and reputation. This position will report to the GM of our Midwest Operations.
Scope of Work:
Load Reception and Release:
- Receive & inspect incoming loads from truck drivers and ensure accurate documentation and logging of information.
- Safely and efficiently guide drivers to designated parking spots or unloading areas.
Equipment Logging and Management:
- Maintain a comprehensive and accurate record of all equipment entering or exiting the facility, including trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Collaborate with drivers and dispatchers to track the availability and location of equipment.
Appearance and Security:
- Ensure the entrance/exit of the parking facility reflects the highest standards of appearance and cleanliness.
- Regularly inspect the parking area, maintaining order, and promptly addressing any issues such as debris, spills, or damage.
- Monitor and enforce security protocols, including access control and surveillance systems.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the facility.
- Assist in the implementation and enforcement of safety protocols, including traffic control measures.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a transportation, operations, or logistics environment.
- Proficient in reading and writing English with a strong command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in using relevant software and systems.
- Access to personal laptop and cell phone.
- Ability to commute to/from work location: 3815 Lockbourne Industrial Pkwy, Columbus, OH 43207
- Valid Driver’s License
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
