Our Loss Control departmentis currently seeking a Technical Services Manager - Propertyto support and lead a team of Loss Control technical property specialists that support our field Loss Control staff, agency customers, commercial policyholders and internal customers.
Starting salary: The pay range for this position is $130,000 - $155,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
Be ready to:

• provide direct management and leadership of our property and electrical technical specialists and our property Loss Control program
• develop and maintain a close partnership with the property line of business manager and underwriting officer
• build and work closely with the team of other technical specialists and their manager
• oversee and manage the training of Loss Control associates as it relates to property Loss Control and risk management areas
• work with the technical specialist for resources to ensure proper vendor alliances and external resources are available to support the property book of business
• oversee and manage the development of resources related to property Loss Control and risk management
• work closely and partner with Loss Control field managers to help manage work and service to ensure property service and evaluation meets standards
• willingness to take on additional responsibilities potentially beyond current role
• provide direct management and leadership through support and performance reviews for technical specialists
• align technical specialist goals to facilitate the achievement of the unit's goals and mission
• help the Technical Services director and other technical managers lead the Technical Services unit
• coach and mentor technical specialists
• lead the specialists and help drive them in the development and growth of their technical programs
• facilitate technical competency development and expansion for technical specialists
• develop and maintain positive relationships with our local independent agency partners and their clients
• develop and maintain productive relationships with other departments
• create solutions to improve Loss Control that have a positive impact across the department and company
• participate in leadership roles within industry organizations and/or on technical committees
• travel to meet job demands (travel requirements vary based on supported territories but it is a significant part of the job)

Be equipped with:

• Ten or more years of experience in a Loss Control, insurance, or fire protection field and/or leadership role
• Prior management experience strongly considered a preference for the position
• a proven track record and demonstrated specialization in a technical discipline
• a proven commitment to our goals and mission
• a proven track record of exceeding personal and job performance goals
• a history of exceeding expectations and delivering exceptional results
• a deep desire to help others achieve their goals and fulfill their potential
• a bachelor's degree. The undergraduate degree is in engineering or related science, or a combination of undergraduate degree and related experience and training. Advance degree is preferred.
• professional designations such as PE, CSP, CFPS, CIH, OHST, CHST, CPCU, ARM or CRM
• pursued continuing education opportunities regularly
• demonstrated commitment to personal growth
• knowledge of corresponding business lines, policy coverages, regulations and consensus standards
• an ability to work closely with underwriting and product management and partner with them to reach mutual goals
• ability to work independently to accomplish initiatives
• exceptional interpersonal, consultative, and organizational skills

• demonstrated leadership experience and qualities
• strong customer service skills to those they manage and external/internal customers
• proficiencies in Microsoft Office tools and related software
