Come work at Mount Horeb Area School District! We are currently seeking to hire a Middle School (Long Term Substitute) - 6th Grade ELA from approximately March 1, 2024 through May 27, 2024. What Your Day Will Look Like:
The successful candidate will provide onsite, in-person instruction to our Middle School 6th Grade program, specifically English/Language Arts developing and preparing lesson plans reflective of the district curriculum and integrates age and developmentally appropriate practices. The majority of your day will involve providing instruction and engaging and interacting with students to maximize their learning and potential in the areas of reading and writing. Additionally, you will be assessing and monitoring student progress, grading, using innovative and creative approaches for inclusive teaching to reach all students, providing a safe and respectful learning environment and communicating with students, families, colleagues and administrators. Collaboration with your team as a professional learning community and completing additional tasks as requested by administrators is key.
There is a Program Support Diagnostician and very supportive administration. We have a continuum of services provided to students, with an emphasis on inclusive practices. Our staff is highly committed to excellence in education and is highly regarded for our Special Education Programs.

* Enjoy working students and staff.
* Experience in making data based decisions for instruction in math, reading, language arts and behavior is necessary.
*Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion
* Bilingual applicants are preferred with the ability to understand and communicate with Spanish speaking students.
What We Offer:
To compensate you for the wonderful work you will be performing and support you will be providing, you will receive $228.75 per day beginning on your first day, including during the training period.
