Logistics/Deployment Manager, MQ-9

The Logistics/Deployment Manager reports to the Program Manager and is administratively responsible for all assigned logistics and deployment actions. Directs the overall logistics and deployment functions of the contract, including all aspects of compliance with applicable DOD directives and principles of sound maintenance discipline. Under limited supervision, the incumbent applies comprehensive program knowledge and subject matter expertise to execute assigned duties.
Essential Responsibilities:

• Functions as the principal interface between USMC MQ-9 logistics and supply requirements and Amentum procurement systems and processes to ensure efficient and timely procurement of contract material ordering requirements.
• Leads a cadre of Supply Technicians who directly support CONUS and OCONUS USMC MQ-9 sites while working directly with Site Managers to ensure on-site supply and logistics priorities are fulfilled.
• Uses data to forecast logistics requirements and makes recommendations to the Program Manager and to the Site Managers regarding supply chain actions necessary to ensure logistics success.
• Provides program advisory support including detailed, comprehensive analysis of logistics requirements and status of procurement actions.
• Functions as the lead Coordinator for all deployment actions and serves as primary interface with customer(s) and employees.
• Interfaces directly with Amentum International Business Team to ensure all foreign host nation laws are complied with while tracking the movement of all USMC MQ-9 contract employees during all phases of deployment actions.
• Monitors and documents costs associated with all deployments and routine travel and ensures appropriate financial documents are maintained and distributed to appropriate, interested parties.
• Interprets technical and programmatic elements to prepare routine and non-routine correspondence and documentation, develops program presentations and briefings, and submits required program management reports.
• Design, implement, and monitor multi-faceted deployment processes and procedures using multimedia platforms in a variety of general, administrative and technical areas, including original materials. Disseminate this information to all affected customers as required.
• Provides program advisory support including detailed, comprehensive analysis of deployment schedules, tasking's, and in-country procedures.
• Ensures OCONUS travel related tasks on behalf of departing employees are complied with, including physical exams and evaluations, travel arrangements, lodging, Passports/Visa documents and related matters.
• Lead the utilization of resources to track the development of deployment processes. Provide timely reports and status updates from these processes.
• Use a variety of software programs to develop survey instruments, special reports, checklist documentation, training requirements, multimedia presentations, and reference materials to meet customer and contract requirements.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures related to deployment training requirements.
• Will provide supervision to junior level employees.
• Performs other duties and tasks as directed by the Program Manager.
• CONUS and OCONUS travel at the direction of the Program Manager may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have an active Secret US Government clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Associate degree in a related discipline and 6 or more year's general experience in an aviation deployment career field.
• Possess 4 years specific experience with USAF or USN logistics and deployment operations (or equivalent).
• Possess management experience and skills to support a highly complex OCONUS logistics and deployment program, including knowledge of logistical systems and processes as well as deployment procedures and aircraft systems, DOD and Federal Government directives and procedures, and Company and Customer policies and guidelines.
• Possess a background in military aviation maintenance and/or logistics work in direct support of military aviation.
• Possess superior interpersonal and organizational abilities, computer/typing skills and knowledge of applicable software.
• Possess supervisory skills to coordinate logistics and deployment efforts with other assigned deployment coordinators and assistants to ensure the safe and efficient conduct of operations and maintenance tasks.
• Possess superior interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• Possess a valid state issued driver's license.
