As a Logistics Support Technician, you'll get to process customers' orders, track and route inventory while collaborating with transportation systems to ensure prompt shipment pick-ups. You will work closely with the Logistics Specialist, Shipping Manager, as well as the rest of the Shipping Department, Sales, Customer Service and Supply Chain to make sure our customers receive our award-winning kitchenware as ordered, and on time.
What you will get to do:
- Print and process all customer shipping orders daily.
- Review inventory of printed pick lists in ERP for accuracy.
- Proof all shipping paperwork and labels.
- Submit customer orders into customer portals for routing
- Assign routing for shipments.
- Work with customer service on customers' needs.
- Ensure all paperwork is scanned correctly and documented appropriately.
- Check daily back orders for product availability and process paperwork when available.
- Cross train and fill in for the Logistics Specialist if absent.
- Answer routing questions and resolve issues via phone, email or in person.
- Print Universal Product Code (UPC) 128 labels.
- Work cooperatively and collaboratively with Shipping team members and other departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring to the role:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education or experience.
- 1+ years of work experience in shipping, logistics, supply chain or manufacturing.
- Good computer skills including a proficiency in Microsoft Office and in an ERP system (Epicor preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with team members, customers, and transportation vendors over the phone, via email and in person.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently. Good time management skills.
