LOGISTICS SUPPORT - SHIPPING & RECEIVING

Ignite is seeing an experienced Logistics Support Representative- Shipping and Receiving to work on a long-term contract located at Stennis Space Center. Tasks include, but are not limited to: Monitor daily work requests and updates. Must be able to process information and set priorities based on that information.

Accurately record and document all shipping and receiving activities. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Maintain accurate inventory management software document information, including the Tool Cage, and assist in producing reports for any requested data.

Focus on continuous improvement in data quality. Ability to work flexible hours if required. Working hours will match the Shipping and Receiving Department's hours.

Staff may be required to work overtime or weekends during critical events such as major customer moves or as Management deems necessary. Must be able to work independently with general supervision and a high degree of discretionary effort. Create and maintain partnerships with external/internal customers that drive operational efficiencies through mutual respect and trust.

Maintain a clean and orderly environment to be free of litter, and debris and swept daily. All storage areas to be neat and organized, boxes taped closed when necessary. Must be fully ambulatory with considerable physical activity which may require handling objects up to 50 lbs.

For example loading and unloading trucks, stacking cartons in the warehouse, delivering packages, or moving equipment in the Data Center. Ensure that employees and visitors follow all safety and security rules and procedures.Desired Skills: Associate's Degree in a related field or commensurate experience. Hands-on experience with inventory controls and processes.

Prior data center experience. Inventory software training or experience. Minimum Required Skills and Education: Demonstrated ability to work independently with general supervision, make critical decisions, maintain thorough records of activities, and keep supervision fully briefed on current issues.

Relevant experience working in a Leadership - Management position. The candidate must have a background that has required planning and research to come up with strategies and plans of action to accomplish routine as well as complex tasks. Must be able to work and contribute in a team environment.

Demonstrate the ability to motivate and lead others to achieve common objectives. Candidates must be self-motivated, possess good writing skills, able to produce reports, be an effective communicator, and have good reading skills to interpret policies and procedures. Basic computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Office, Word, etc.) Must be NASA certified to operate a forklift or obtain NASA certification.

Required Education: High school education or GED. Required Experience: 2+ years of experience working in a similar environment or facility. Prior experience should include similar duties and responsibilities that are specified in the job description.

US Citizenship is required. Must be able to obtain a DOD Interim Secret clearance prior to employment. Continued employment is contingent that the employee obtains and maintains a full Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time.Desired Skills: Associate's Degree in a related field or commensurate experience.
