We are a state licensed and compliant cannabis distribution company in Perris, Ca. As a distributor we package, label, receive and deliver products for cannabis brands across the state. We are seeking Logistic Supervisor - Transportation (Fleet).
Job Summary:
The Logistics Supervisor - Transportation (Fleet) will execute, direct, and coordinate shipments into and out of an organization.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Oversees the coordination and routing of shipments.
- Acts as dispatcher for routing activities and tracks transportation vehicles using software (Azuga Routes)
- Ensures that customer difficulties or problems are investigated and resolved.
- Work with Logistics Manager to negotiates and secures contracts with transportation providers and customers.
- Directs and is accountable for all maintenance, repairs, and replacement of shipping equipment or vehicles (Azuga Fleet).
- Implements safety audits and trains staff members on safety issues.
- Maintains knowledge of best practices including the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods.
- Maintains knowledge of regulations related to transportation including those related to hazardous (cash pickup) shipments, employee safety, and freight classifications.
- In collaboration with other managers, develops and implements policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for transportation operations.
- Ensures compliance with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, environmental policies, and government regulations.
- Reviews and analyzes expenditures and other financial information; uses results to develop and implement plans, policies, and budgets.
- Work as a Customer Service Representative to process sales orders and ensure paperwork compliance. Work as Picker, when necessary
- Attend and contribute to internal meeting regarding the department
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Hires and trains transportation (Drivers) staff.
- Supervises Drivers working with Account Receivable/Sales Team for billing/collections.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Ability to act as a backup to the Logistics Manager when required.
- Oversee the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of delivery drivers.

- Compensation - Non-exempt - $24 min to start
