GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Logistics Specialist for Infection Prevention supports the infection prevention department by assisting with observational rounding to include hand hygiene compliance, compliance of transmission based precautions, and clerical, data support to the infection control department.

- Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times.
- Adheres to hospital policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines.
- Performs observational rounds as trained by the infection preventionist.
- Reports to the county health department as trained by the infection preventionist following a list of conditions listed by the state.
- Enters data into the National Health and Safety Network
- Uses the electronic health record to record infection cases
- Performs clerical duties as needed by the department
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- No prior experience or training.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
