SAIC has a new opportunity for a Logistics principal position. This position will work hand-in-hand with the Customer Logistics team, IT engineering groups. Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performs system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS) of major systems. Controls the efficient flow of goods, services and information between points of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements. Plans, schedules and manages the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production. Develops raw material requirements, scheduling requirements from engineering specifications, production schedules, plans/manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production.
Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes. Includes logistics functions, encompass maintenance, supply, transportation and logistics plans. Maintain and inventory Lab Asset Equipment at government facilities. Receive and ship (DD1149) all material received in under government procurement contracts. Provide tracking of all material received and under government procurement contracts. Update various spreadsheets and maintain accurate counts of all material received.
Prepared to perform program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management. Ability to research all part numbers, H6 part descriptions, national stock numbers (NSN) and Cage codes for all systems as well as provide source maintenance and recoverability (SMR) codes. Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules. Establishes and recommends changes to policies, which affect organization. Familiar with adding equipment and software to the Enterprise Product List. Experience with the government procurement process. Willing to learn and execute helpdesk basics (password resets, account creation, facilitate initial logon, etc...) for customers and peers when needed.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Must be US Citizen
Must possess active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph
Bachelors and 9 yrs or more related experience; Masters and 7 years related experience; PHD and 4 years related experience
Years of experience/certifications may be considered in lieu of education
Must have related experience in logistics
Must be available/able to travel up to 10%
Willing to obtain Security+ certification
Desired:
Possess IAM Level I, such as the Security+ certification
Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) - certified in Lifecycle Logistics Level 1
