Zachry Industrial, Inc. is currently seeking a Logistics Manager II to support our GTPP - ISBL project.
Position Summary
The Logistics Manager is responsible for all Onsite transportation, material and personnel movements, and the site utilization planning and execution. The safe and efficient movement of trailers, forklifts and other Material Handling Equipment that are not under the direct control of the construction rigging team are directly managed by the Traffic Manager.
Required Qualifications
- This role must be capable of juggling many details and communicating effectively to multiple internal and external groups.
- Strong organizational skills are required and the individual must be versatile, strategic, and innovative.
- The individual must be proactive and sensitive to the time-critical nature of logistics plans and their execution and be willing / able to effectively expedite resolutions from internal and external personnel while maintaining strong rapport and open communication.
- This role requires an individual with the personality and ability to obtain cooperation without creating a climate of threat.
- A strong background in logistics and transportation management is seen as a requirement.
- Backgrounds likely include military or commercial logistics and / or transportation experience with relevant knowledge about or experience in various transportation operations management.
- Bachelors degree is strongly preferred
- Must have 5+ years of experience
- Preferred that the individual has project Field experience.
- Knowledge of importing and exporting formalities and processes
- CFR19
- HTS Code knowledge
- CBP Regulations
- Other governmental agency requirements
- Knowledge of domestic and international trade and delivery terms, Incoterms
- Knowledge of industry packing, marking, and shipping requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Employee may be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.
- Will talk and hear to communicate.
- May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 25 lbs (occasionally more).
- Occasionally be required to spend time on the construction site and will need to have the ability to walk and climb various outdoor conditions.
- Ability to work alone and with others including craft, planners, managers, engineers, suppliers, and customers.
