Logistics Management Specialist

About the Position:This is a TERM NTE 13 months Logistics Management Specialist position located at Ft. Knox, KY.This position is being filled as a term position not to exceed 13 months, may be extended up to six years, and may be converted to permanent without further competition. This term position may be terminated earlier than the NTE date at management's discretion. Qualifications:

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience which includes 1) exercising managerial direction over the integration of supply, maintenance, training, fielding, item provisioning and other logistical functions during all phases of the life cycle; 2) directing the implementation of DA and DOD current and future program guidance within assigned areas; 3) Providing oversight of assigned contracts, delivery orders and task orders; and 4) Serving as the Principal Agent within an organization on aviation logistics and related functions.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of the work performed at the next lower level/grade (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
