We have a job opening for an Logistics Clerk on first shift. This position will be responsible for all outbound shipment traffic with monthly value in excess of $1M. Complex work requiring knowledge of domestic, import and export documentation and ability to perform under limited supervision.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage international shipment schedule, process shipments in SAP.
- Create delivery documents, packing lists, and Bill of lading for domestic & international shipments.
- Calculation and entry of freight costs into shipping documentation for proper invoicing via direction of specified Incoterms.
- Create additional export documentation such as Certificate of Origin, Shipper’s Declaration, Customs Invoice.
- Prepare and send all export documents to broker or forwarder.Responsible for filing and retrieval of all documentation for all shipment.
- Development of freight quotes on demand from Customer Service Representatives.
- Maintain shelf life inspections and tracking for required Gas Depot parts.
- Responsible for dissemination of shipping information upon request from both internal and external sources.
- Run Gas Depot backlog daily and process shippable orders from backlog.
Starting pay will be consistent with experience and skills.
This position reports to the GAS DEPOT Supervisor.
MUST HAVE:
- High school graduate or GED.
WE VALUE:
- This position requires knowledge of physical inventory processes and meter manufacturing a plus.
- IT/Computer literacy – good knowledge and technical skills in Microsoft applications such as; Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Knowledge and technical skills in the use of role related SAP.
- Above average verbal and written communication skills and the ability to perform under stress and adapt to changing situations.
