TheLog Yard Operator will be responsible for operating a knuckle boom loader andtraveling crane to load, unload, lift, move, position, and reposition loads.  Duties Include:

Operate front-end loader, knuckle boom loader,and crane under general supervision.

Inspect loader and crane for safety issues daily.

Determine if any parts are malfunctioning.

Complete daily check sheets, track load counts fromtrucks, and log feed into the mill.

Unload and load trucks at the work site using a front-endloader and knuckle boom loader.

Operate hand and foot controls on the crane and loader.

Perform work within precise limits and standards ofaccuracy

Perform as a backup for the crane operator and scaleoperator as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Willing to work any shift, including weekends, holidays, or overtime as needed.

Good communication skills.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Ability to learn and adapt to change.

Ability to adhere to all safety policies and regulations, including wearingsafety equipment.

Ability to work in a noisy environment.
