Job Title: Lobby Attendant
Supervision Exercised: N/A
Supervision Received: Assistant Housekeeping Manager, Housekeeping Supervisors, Housekeeping staff
Maintain cleanliness standards of the Brand/Hotel in all public areas of the main lobby, public restrooms and other areas as needed.
JOB DUTIES:
- Arrive at scheduled start time in appropriate uniform and ready for work.
- Adhere to Brand/Hotel cleanliness standards in all areas of the Hotel.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of all guest elevators, corridors, restrooms, the lobby and other public spaces.
- Collect all trash from lobby and other public space areas.
- Dust and wax all public area furniture as needed.
- Cleaning public restrooms, dusting, vacuuming, etc., as needed.
- Deliver towels, amenities and other items to guest rooms as needed.
- Vacuum, shampoo and buff flooring & carpets as assigned.
- Wash, dry, press and fold hotel linen as assigned.
- Communicate to Supervisor/Manager when recovering all lost and found items.
- Maintain control of keys issued to and return them at the end of each shift.
- Attend all mandatory Department and Hotel meetings.
- Complete all required training within time-frame allotted.
- Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures as required.
- Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.
- Support environmental commitments by acquiring the knowledge, skills and values to be a leader in the global goal of “greening” the hospitality industry.
- Minimum 18 years of age
- US work authorization required
- Min 6 months previous professional commercial cleaning or commercial laundry experience required
- Previous hotel/resort experience preferred
- Must meet grooming standards
- Able to work as part of a team
- Able to work with little or no supervision
- Previous hotel/resort experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail as it pertains to cleanliness standards
- Able to demonstrate high energy, and strong enthusiasm for customer service
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
- Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
