The primary function of the Loan Processor is to ensure the timely and accurate review of all required member documents to assist with the scheduling of closings for all consumer loan products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verifies accuracy of loan documents including income verification, insurance, payoffs, purchase orders, and other documentation as required by underwriter.
- Ensures member loan documents are complete, accurate, and in compliance with underwriting requirements for approval.
- Process home equity loans including providing required disclosures in a timely manner, ordering property searches, property valuations, and title reports as needed.
- Review vendor reports for accuracy and address any issues with underwriter for direction.
- Communicates with staff and/or members for any items needing correction or clarification.
- Updates loan origination system as needed with most accurate information based on documentation review.
- Works closely with Lending team to communicate any questions or concerns regarding documentation requested. Follow up as directed by underwriter.
- Provides staff with confirmation all required documentation is reviewed and approved and loan may proceed to schedule for closing.
- Performs any additional duties/activities assigned by leadership.
- Stays current on all Federal loan regulations and credit union policies, completes annual Safe Act training
- Participates in available credit union self-development education programs and any required compliance courses.
- Adheres to the FHCU Service Standards as established.
- Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisor.

Educational/Training Requirement:
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- None
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of credit union lending policy
- Basic computer skills and data entry
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact with others in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands require a person to remain seated up to eight (8) hours per day and perform repetitive hand movements on a keyboard.
