JOB DESCRIPTIONS: LOAN PAID OUT/PAYMENT PROCESSOR
DIVISION: LOAN OPERATIONS
WAGE CLASSIFICATION: 7
REPORTS TO: SUPERVISOR OF LOAN OPERATIONS
SUPERVISES: Has No Supervisory Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
Accepts loan payments from tellers and processes mail payments. Prepares manual auto-debit payments. Assist customers concerning payments, payoffs, loan histories, etc. Other duties as may be requested by supervisor or officers.
DUTIES
- Morning Balancing Duties:
- Process paid out loans each morning
- Release titles when necessary
- Refund interest surcharge & processing fees when necessary
- Balance FASB general ledger accounts
- When a real estate loan pays off, give a copy of paid out a loan to FNMA loan processor.
- Check ARM and interest rate change notices daily. Have payments refigured, if
necessary, and file maintenance reordering of new coupon books.
- Prepaid loan report
- Process Mail Payments
- Process Teller Payments
- Process Participation Payments
- Prepare Manual Auto Debits
- Print loan maturing report and email to officers and credit division every Friday morning.
- Handle daily wire transfers (incoming)
- At end of the workday, before sending final loan payments to the proof check the mail bin to make sure no late work has been left out of processing.
- Pick up mail payments and deliver to the department
- Pick up loan work from Main Office Tellers, Loan Processors, and Mortgage Dept.
- Prepare monthly Loan Committee Reports
- Prepare quarterly Call Report schedule
- Assist loan officers, loan processors and teller with any loan inquiry
- Telephone assistance to customers concerning loan histories, payments, the payoff
next due dates, coupon books, etc.

- Recommend changes to update job procedures

EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT:
- Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1 year of banking or related experience required.
ORGANIZATION
Has an inherent duty and responsibilities to make recommendations to supervisor concerning possible methods to improve the department.
FINANCES
Has the responsibility to make recommendations to supervisor concerning the budgetary needs of the department.
RELATIONSHIPS
1. Responsible to the Supervisor of Loan Operations and Vice President of Loan Operations for the fulfillment of their functions, responsibilities, and authority and for their proper interpretations.
2. Will have extensive contact with customers and the public and is to conduct relationships in a manner that will enhance the overall marketing effort of the bank.
3. Will be called upon from time to time to participate with community organizations and in community projects.
