Crown Mortgage Company, a 48-year-old mortgage banking firm, is seeking a hard-working, dedicated, licensed Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team. Crown Mortgage Company, a Conventional, FHA, and VA lender never sells our borrowers’ loans. All loans are originated, underwritten, and serviced at our Oak Lawn headquarters.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct thorough analysis of applicants’ financial status and assess their creditworthiness.

· Utilize knowledge of mortgage loan products, including Conventional, FHA and VA lending.

· Collaborate with clients, real estate agents, attorneys, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth loan processing.

· Develops new and expands existing internal and external referral sources to grow mortgage business.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Excellent customer service skills and strong work ethic.

· Exceptional verbal and written communication and listening skills.

· Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines in demanding environment.

· Ability to think strategically to solve problems or challenges with loan files.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, and loan origination systems (preferably Encompass).

Education and Formal Training Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree preferred.

· Current, active NMLS License

· 2-4 Years Related Mortgage Origination Experience

· Must have a clear understanding of federal & state rules and regulations along with Fannie, Freddie, FHA, and VA guidelines.

· Demonstrated ability to manage a pipeline and book of business.
