JOB DESCRIPTION:  LOAN DISBURSEMENTS PROCESSOR

DIVISION:                     LOAN OPERATIONS

WAGE CLASSIFICATION:   7

REPORTS TO:  SUPERVISOR OF LOAN OPERATIONS           

SUPERVISES:  Has No Supervisory Responsibilities

 

 

JOB SUMMARY

 

Disburses funds on loans by either processing Cashier's Check or Deposit to customer's account.  Make entries and processes all tickets on disbursements. Verifies all imaged documents to loan accounts for accuracy. Prepare and mail customer coupon books. Assist Supervisor, Loan Officers and Customers as needed.

 

 

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE SKILLS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Morning Balancing Duties:             
    • Balance interest surcharge and processing fees account to general ledger
    • Handle Return Mail
    • Balancing Origination and FASB fees accounts back to general ledger
    • Handling of 18% interest rate changes
  • Figure Billing for coupon books and balance to NCP billing each month
  • Verify and balance billing from NCP each month. (Coupon books mailed by High Cotton)

  • Write Up All New Loans
  • Check loan for customer's signature and loan officer's initials.
  • Make sure source of disbursement of funds is listed on loan.
  • Make entries to pay off renewal loans needing new numbers
  • Write up new loan debits and credits
    • Verify payment keypunch journal each afternoon for accuracy
    • Disburse funds on loans
    • Verification of all loan document images for accuracy relating to Consumer and Commercial Real Estate Loans.

  • File Maintenance
  • Master Note Draws
  • Exception Loans
  • Deleted Loan with errors
  • Financial Statements (as part of new loan request)
  • Officers Comments to Financial Statement Analysis
  • Paid Out Loan Documents
  • Key Punch Tickets
  • Miscellaneous Loan Documents
    • Preparation of monthly Loan Committee Reports
    • Prepare quarterly Call Report schedule
    • Assist loan officers, loan processors, and tellers with any loan inquiry
    • Telephone assistance to customers concerning loan information
    • Miscellaneous to loan officers       
    • Recommend changes to update job procedures.
    • Pick up loan work from Main Office and Mortgage Dept.

EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT:

 

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1 year of banking or related experience required.

 

 

ORGANIZATION

 

Has an inherit duty and responsibility to make recommendations to supervisor concerning possible methods to improve department.

 

 

 

FINANCES

 

Has the responsibility to make recommendations to supervisor concerning the budgetary needs of the department.

 

 

RELATIONSHIPS

 

1.  Responsible to the Supervisor of Loan Operations and the Vice President of Loan Operations    for the fulfillment of their functions, responsibilities, and authority and for their proper interpretation.

2.  Will have extensive contact with customers and the public, and is to conduct relationships in a manner that will enhance the overall marketing effort of the Bank.

3.  Will be called upon from time to time to participate with community organizations and in community projects.
