We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Receiver to receive, inspect and record shipments of F&B materials or products. You will be responsible for unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure they match the orders. You will identify any discrepancies or losses at the end of business operations each week to prevent them from happening again. The candidate must have an excellent eye for detail and essential math skills. They must also have the adequate physical strength to unload shipping and the clerical skills to update records and follow up with suppliers. We aim to ensure we receive the correct packages and stock them appropriately. Ultimately, you will be responsible for tracking all inventory to ensure our company maintains proper inventory levels for products, equipment, and supplies as needed.

Reports to: Corporate Director of Facilities

Responsibilities:

  • Create HAPPIER experience for all guests, tenants, and coworkers.
  • Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries.
  • Receive and stage deliveries by department or tenancy, mark it appropriately for placement in the facility.
  • Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock. Inspect deliveries and date times to verify freshness, cleanliness, and consistency.
  • Stock shelves and rotate stock following FIFO, and responsible for appearance and sanitation of staging areas.
  • Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control.
  • Maintain sanitation standards for cleaning mailroom, storerooms, and Loading Dock areas.
  • Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash and place them in proper storage areas.
  • Responsible for utilizing and operating receiving equipment (Carts, hand trucks, etc.)
  • Training staff in stocking procedures and the delivery and moving of items.
  • Manage Loading Dock deliveries and operations, prioritize as necessary.
  • Manage freight elevators use as necessary.
  • Direct building staff to help with deliveries and moving items throughout the building.
  • Ability to work outside year-round and in the Loading Dock booth.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
  • Maintain a professional and polished appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Ability to push or pull materials weighing up to 200 pounds
  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 100 lbs.
  • Must meet the physical demands, including but not limited to lifting over 10-50lbs, frequently bending, twisting, occasionally kneeling, constant use of hands, using repetitive wrist motion.
  • Ability to frequently reach, bend, stoop, climb up and down stairs, walk, and carry multiple objects.
  • Capable of standing for prolonged periods of time
  • Able to work in a team environment and welcome feedback and direction.
  • Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and concentrate on detail in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data and phone applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
