Quarry Driller

Overview:

Tri-State Drilling and Blasting LLC is a growing company, based in Goshen, CT. We are currently operating in NY, CT, MA, RI and VT, seeking drillers to join our team. Experienced drillers are preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with heavy equipment experience.

Responsibilities and duties includes, but are not limited to:

• Following all safety protocols and adhering to all MSHA/OSHA regulations
• Drilling holes for blasting in a grid pattern at quarries and new construction sites while following a diagram/specific instructions
• Monitoring drilling operations and make adjustments as necessary
• Completing the daily inspection of the company truck, drill, compressor, and other equipment
• Completing daily drill maintenance (greasing, fueling, cleaning, etc.)
• Completing daily reports and paperwork accurately and timely
• Promptly reporting any maintenance or repairs that are needed
• Assisting with loading shots whenever instructed
• Assisting with equipment repairs whenever instructed
• Maintaining communication with other drillers, other persons on jobsites, blasters, and management

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience operating drills is preferred, proficiency in operating heavy equipment is necessary
• Strong mechanical knowledge
• Understanding of drilling equipment
• Be able to efficiently use necessary apps on cellphones and tablets
• Physical stamina to withstand long hours of work in various weather conditions, with extended periods of time standing, sitting, bending, reaching, and/or crouching
• Be able to lift 75+ pounds
• Willing and able to travel in all states we provide services, understanding accommodations will be provided when deemed necessary
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass drug screenings
• Ability to qualify for ATF Federal Explosives License Employee Possessor status

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
