The Role

Reporting to the Gas Trading Supervisor, the LNG Scheduler will be responsible for the administration of the Company's LNG sales agreements and coordination with the LNG terminal located in West Africa. Strong attention to detail, knowledge of LNG sales agreements (SPA/MSA), and understanding of LNG terminal lifting agreements are key components of the position.

General Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement communication procedures related to contractual obligations for LNG documents.   
• Coordination of notices and communication between LNG buyers, the LNG terminal, and internal stakeholders
• Active participation in the development and planning of the ADP and NDS as well as ad hoc scheduling needs
• Strong alignment and communication with the LNG Marketing function as well as other internal groups including Planning and Operations
• Coordinate activities related to necessary permits and compliance with all applicable regulations on LNG SPAs in Equatorial Guinea.    
• Reconcile vessel's surveyor commodity invoices with MRO Energy Trade Management System (ETRM)

Requirements:

• Excellent communications skills, must be able to interact externally with diverse counterparts and internally with cross functional teams at Marathon
• A minimum of 5+ years of natural gas experience, specifically including LNG
• A demonstrated understanding of LNG business: shipping and terminal operations.
• Significant attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and react/adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
• A team player who can proactively identify and execute on solutions that advance the stated goals of Marathon
