New York Center for Infants and Toddlers Inc. is currently seeking a Licensed Social Worker to work as an Early Intervention Center Based Group Leader.
This is an exciting opportunity for Social Workers to provide therapeutic, developmental servicesto toddlers at New York Center’s school-based program in Manhattan. The developmental intervention utilizes a cutting-edge, evidence-based intervention to promote social communication through play- J.A.S.P.E.R.
J.A.S.P.E.R. (Joint Attention, Symbolic Play, Engagement, and Regulation) methodology was developed by Dr. Connie Kasari at University California Los Angeles (UCLA).
In this position you will receive training and supervision from both New York Center's Clinical team and the KASARI Lab at U.C.L.A.As a Group Leader you will have the opportunity to participate in a National Institute of Health (NIH) Research Study, while providing direct service to toddlers, practicing classroom management, and supervising classroom staff.
New York Center's dynamic Early Intervention program is grounded in evidence-based treatments that focus on building social communication, play, and learning skills which are crucial to early development.
We are hiring for both part-time and full-time positions with availability at our East Harlem Location.
Requirements: Must have a Master's degree and hold a NYS Social Work license.
Direct practice experience in Early Intervention preferred.
