About the Company:
Ensign Services is growing and currently serves over 300 health care operations, primarily in the western half of the United States. These operations are supported by Ensign Services “Service Center,” a world-class service team that provides clinical, legal, human resources, accounting, compliance, training, information technology, construction and other resources necessary to allow on-site leaders to focus squarely on day-to-day business.
The LMS Analyst, reporting to the LMS Administrator, is responsible for handling many of the routine LMS processes including daily maintenance and regular reporting for the Relias Learning Management Systems (LMS) at Ensign Services. This position will have a direct impact on the Learning team’s ability to provide engaging, efficient and effective learning solutions to meet the needs of our internal business partners.

The ideal candidate should love working with data and solving problems with little assistance. S/He must be an expert with Microsoft Excel, working with csv-exported data, vlookups or collecting data from multiple worksheets and files, translating to easy to use reports. S/He will understand LMS systems and the technical capabilities while providing ad hoc help-desk support, troubleshooting learner issues and reporting on LMS activities.
Duties:
  • Runs weekly reports for distribution to the field organization and key stakeholders.
  • Performs daily routine maintenance to keep LMS processes running smoothly.
  • Identifies possible issues as part of routine maintenance and collaborate with the LMS Administrator on potential solutions.
  • Runs ad-hoc data analysis, which requires pulling information from multiple systems and then bringing them together for analysis.
  • Serves as backup/escalation for front line support for LMS users, including answering questions, providing advice. Provide troubleshooting expertise to users on an ad hoc basis when the scope of the problem exceeds the Tier 1 Helpdesk level of intervention.
  • Participates in planning, communicating, and training of users regarding learning systems usage, updates, or procedural changes.
  • Loads and QA’s content onto LMS. Able to understand SCORM 1.2 and 2004 and troubleshoot any problems with content performance in the LMS.
  • Collaborates with L&D team members.
Experience/Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of related experience in operating within a learning management system/analyst or other HR related software platforms
  • Bachelor's Degree or combination of post-secondary education and experience in lieu of a degree
  • Prior healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Must have excellent Excel skills to generate reports or customize data
  • Basic understanding of SQL, able to use MS Access or similar databases
  • Self-directed learner – able to grasp new concepts quickly and independently and apply them to current and new situations
  • Strong communication skills - ability to work with individuals at all levels with varied backgrounds and personalities
  • Ability to multi-task, think on your feet and creatively problem-solve issues
  • Collaborative – understands when to handle an issue independently and when to escalate
  • Service orientated
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of eLearning technologies such as AICC/ SCORM, especially how they relate to LMS communication and tracking
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Additional Information
  • Compensation: $30.00 + /hour; may be bonus eligible
  • Position Type: Full Time, Employee

  • Schedule: Typically business hours but may vary depending on workload and travel needs - 40 hrs/week
  • Location: Based out of home office and travels to Service Center as needed
