Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) I, the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) will provide analytical and technical support to the Imaging and Live Scan Program (ILSP). The SSA serves as the initial point of contact to client agencies including but not limited to: applicant agencies, law enforcement, state departments, and the Department of Justice (DOJ) Peer/Private Service Providers (PSP's) business partners. The SSA serves clients in the coordination of required documents, the DOJ policies and procedures, the installation, connection and electronic acceptance testing of new or replacement Live Scan equipment. Analyzing various operational areas and issues within the program to identify existing or potential problems and/or enhancing overall operations and when required, developing associated recommendations.
The SSA will access various departmental databases to review both applicant and criminal transactions for testing and troubleshooting of transmissions received from the field. The SSA will coordinate with the Application Development Bureau (ADB) to resolve all complex technical issues related to Live Scan. The SSA will monitor and update the tracking database for all Live Scan equipment and run various reports on a monthly and quarterly basis, or as requested by management. The SSA will coordinate with the Live Scan Billing Unit and the Division of Operations (OPS) Accounting Office to resolve billing issues received from the field. The SSA will also assist the ILSP in various special projects as needed for development of conference planning, procedures, and training for both external and internal clients.
