Top AM100 law firm is seeking a Litigation Paralegal in their brand-new Chicago office.
You will assist attorneys with commercial litigation and complex product liability matters.
Please have at 10 years of litigation experience in a law firm, including case preparation from beginning to end and an understanding of a paralegal’s role in the litigation life cycle. You will also work in an advisory role to assist in mentoring and training other paralegals and practice assistants.

Responsibilities:
Performing a broad range of substantive paralegal tasks, you will work directly with attorneys on product liability, toxic tort disputes, complex commercial litigation, business litigation and other complex business disputes in a variety of industries. You will maintain and monitor court deadlines for assigned cases and take ownership of case calendars; electronically file documents with the Court through the ECF system under the supervision of an attorney; perform online PACER research; and prepare drafts of pleadings, notices, and motions. Trial experience is a must.
Illinois pay range for this role, with final offer amount depending on experience is $85,000-$100,000.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position possesses strong organizational skills, well-developed critical thinking skills, is very detailed oriented, has a working knowledge of Excel, has a strong sense of accountability, takes ownership over projects and responsibilities, resolves issues proactively, and knows how to be a true team player. This individual is also a technology pro and has no problem learning new software.
2 or 4-year degree and a paralegal certificate; however, work experience may be substituted for education.
Ability to conduct research using various research tools, including the Internet and Westlaw.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet business needs.
