Our company is looking to hire an accomplished, detail-oriented individual to join our team of Legal Assistants. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for managing the day to-day administrative needs of 2 busy Michigan No Fault Litigation Attorneys by recording and distributing information, proofreading and filing legal documents via e-file and first class mail, retrieving information and communicating with outside vendors, opposing counsel and clients. In addition, this position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as a strong sense of professionalism, and willingness to work as a team member, experience with e-filing and no fault law is a must. Salary based on experience, starting at 55,000.00.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
- Create and maintain filing systems of legal documents.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Prepare lawsuits, briefs, and exhibits for hearings.
- File documents with the court or other legal entities.
- Calendaring and organizing all court dates, tasks and reminders.
