Job Title:Literacy Coordinator- Culinary Literacy

Location: Downtown Dallas, TX

Schedule: Monday-Friday 30 hours/week; Hours Vary between 9am-8pm & Saturday 9am-1pm (MUST be open to schedule)

Pay: $25.00/hour

Responsibilities:

• The Literacy Coordinator organizes, facilitates, and coordinates the provision and development of programs designed to offer Culinary Literacy services through food and cooking to the community

• This person will work to provide a space that enhances hands-on, project based learning, that celebrates diversity, that is open and inclusive using the cooperative nature of cooking to build community

• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Science, Public Relations, or related field.?Background in Food Science or Culinary arts or literacy a plus.

• 3 years in education, library services culinary arts/food science, or other related field

• HS Diploma or GED required

• Knowledge of best practices in teaching English as a second language.

• Ability to work under limited direction and to take initiative

• Knowledge of literacy education techniques, classes, training, and programs.?

• Knowledge of Culinary literacy standards and best practices.?

• Knowledge of program coordination, marketing, and management.?
