POSITION SUMMARY
The Lion World Travel Marketing Assistant plays a pivotal role in supporting the Lion World Travel marketing team by assisting with various aspects of marketing campaigns, projects, and initiatives. This role will manage webpages and blogs, suggest new digital opportunities for the brand, as well as assist in crafting appropriate digital assets for channel-specific distribution (i.e. social, blogs, digital ads, newsletters). This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Marketing Director in the execution of general marketing initiatives, including providing metrics across various marketing channels as needed.
- Oversee the content of our itineraries within the website (currently Drupal) and micro-sites (Umbraco)
- Proactive in reviewing trip content for accuracy, ensuring consistency between marketing assets, web, and guest documentation content throughout each season
- Assist with online communications to improve the end-consumer user experience and online results by reviewing, making recommendations to content, user path, call-to-actions, aesthetics, and other web components and implementing these changes
- Troubleshoot any issues with the appropriate teams
- Support various marketing tactics and promotions (including but not limited to blog, web production, email, and social media)
- Improve SEO to drive new and future leads and site engagement
- Deliver customer relationship management (CRM) initiatives including developing newsletters and eDMs to attract and retain a database of consumers, including development of content, deployment, nurture campaigns, and reporting
- Other duties as required and assigned
COMPETENCIES
- A high level of attention to detail and the ability to think "Big Picture" is required
- A fast learner and not intimidated by technology
- Excellent organizational, communication (both written and oral), and project management skills
- Solid command of the English language; ability to proof grammar, spelling, and copyediting
- Self-motivated, self-starter, able to work independently and as part of the team
- Able to multi-task and effectively manage several projects at once
- A passion for travel and an eagerness to learn
EXPERIENCE
- 2-5 years experience in marketing preferred, background in the travel industry a plus
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/O365 (Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to utilize web tools and in-house technical resources, adapt to new technology, learn new programs quickly, and use computers and technology to improve efficiency and productivity
- Social media and content development/programming experience a plus
- Experience with SEO/SEM preferred or willingness to learn
- Experienced with CRM, including Salesforce and Marketing Cloud
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Creative Suite a plus

$23.41 - $29.49 per hour
