Job Description:
In this role you will:
- Contribute to project activities that pertain to containers and container orchestration (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes, Nomad, Nexus).
- SEIM support to include Splunk and OpenSearch.
- Provide Linux support to include, patch management, vulnerability management, STIG application/implementation and other security policies/protocols.
- Automate and script manual operational tasks aiming to reduce manual operational efforts Setup analytical and real time monitoring to provide meaningful alerts and reports.
- Participate on a support roster to monitor all systems in network and to respond accordingly to ensure maximum performance, efficiency and availability of the service.
To be successful in the role, you are expected to have:
- Experience with system administration of containers and container orchestration (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes, nomad, nexus).
- Good understanding of security principals around privileged access management, security protocols and authentication, and encryption.
- Deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting VMware Horizon, VMware ESXi, and/or Nutanix to include building Windows and Linux images.
- Deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting RHEL VMs, to include Red Hat Satellite.
- Utilizing SaltStack or other tools to automate updates, configuration management, and system administration tasks.
- Managing system via iDRAC, Avocent IP KVM and Raritan IP KVM tools in a lights-out data center environment.
- Automating implementation and testing of hardened system configurations (familiarity with DISA STIG preferred).
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of System Administration experience (e.g., Microsoft Windows, Group Policy, Active directory, SaltStack, Red Hat Linux, Encryption)
- Willingness to travel within CONUS
- IAT II Certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP , GSEC, Security+ CE, CND and SSCP)
- Active Secret Clearance
