Linux System Administrator

We are looking for a candidate who is familiar with Linux system administration to perform maintenance and upgrades on a small installation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) workstations. The candidate would be available to perform work on-site. This is a short-term opportunity, and the work can begin soon. The duration of work is limited to the issues that need to be addressed, however there is a possibility for additional work in the future.

The candidate we are hoping to find will be capable of performing the following tasks:

- Linux system administration. Preferred Red Hat experience.

- Install and configure Red Hat operating system on PC hardware or virtual machine.

- Apply Red Hat subscriptions to individual workstations.

- Address network and firewall issues.

- Resolve Samba and automount issues.

- Communicate with Emerson IT to obtain necessary information and resolve issues.

- Answer questions and explain topics as needed.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $45 - $48/hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
