As a Line Walker/Compressor Technician at United Safety, you serve as an integral part of ensuring the breathing air system is properly working on a job site and informing supervision of any issues.
- Walk/climb from the air source inspecting airlines for leaks, ensure air supply is connected to manifold, check all fittings, inspect airlines prior to reconnection.
- Pre-start inspection of the compressor, monitor air quality around the air compressor, maintain detailed logs for proper record keeping.
- At times, help install the breathing air system during pre-job and in most cases also removal of the system at the end of the Turnaround.
Requirements
- 18+ years old
- TWIC Card and Basic Plus
- Able to successfully complete our 5-day training program including a physical demands test, hair follicle drug test, alcohol test, and a DISA background check.
- Candidates for this position must be capable of climbing stairs and ladders, working at heights, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- A minimum of 6 months of oil and gas, industrial or construction experience.
- Work 12–13-hour shifts (days/nights) in a refinery environment.
- Travel to job sites out of state - Per-diem paid for those who qualify.
- Have reliable transportation to and from site.
