Line Operator (12 Hr Pm Rotating 6P-6A)

Summary:

• This position is responsible for decorating cosmetic components to client specifications using various materials, techniques and equipment in an efficient manner that optimizes machine uptime and material flow. Responsible for demonstrating safe work practices and following all Schwan Cosmetics, USA policies and procedures.
• Set up, perform changeovers, line clearance and operate various equipment including, but not limited to paint, imprint and/or screen printing equipment to optimize machine uptime and efficient operation. Rotate between various positions to ensure efficiency of operations.
• Perform quality checks, complete administrative paperwork as directed to ensure proper communication and detailed information on quality, safety, production, etc. Perform color checks.
• Locate raw materials prescribed for each specific formulation to optimize efficient operation and relieve & control inventory flow.
• Engage in housekeeping, safety and continuous improvement projects.
• Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience. Must be able to demonstrate basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing, whole numbers. Ability to read micrometers and rulers. Must be able to speak, read/comprehend, and write in English.

Experience:

• 2-4 years’ experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment with demonstrated performance to standards or equivalent education and experience.
• Other: Must pass a color hue test.
